Housing Costs & Eligibility

2025-2026 Contract Dates and Costs

Academic Year Contract

Dates: Aug. 23, 2025-May 9, 2026
Cost: Rent is $6,400, with two $3,200 charges at the beginning of both the Fall and Spring semesters.
Deposit: $500

Deposit Information

A non-refundable $500 deposit is required. Of that total, $150 is a housing deposit that will be applied to rent. The remaining $350 is a damage deposit that can be recouped upon moving out of STC Housing if there are no damages beyond normal wear and tear of the unit.

Contract information

  • Students who move in mid-year will be charged a pro-rated amount based on the actual check-in date.
  • You may cancel your lease contract within 72 hours of signing, without penalty, by providing written notice (via
    email) of your intent to cancel your lease contract. Lease Contracts cancelled after 72 hours of signing and prior to the conclusion of the lease term will incur a contract breakage fee of $1,300.

Summer 2026 Contract

Dates: May 10, 2026-July 26, 2026
Cost: Before Dec. 31, 2025: $1,450
After Jan. 1, 2026: $1,900
Deposit: N/A


Contract Information

  • All students who have a current academic year contract are elligible to sign a separate summer contract to stay in apartments over the summer.
  • Students who sign up for summer before Jan. 1, 2026, will recieve a $450 discount on summer rent.
  • Students that sign on for summer must understand that they may be required to move to a different unit so we can consolidate our residents for maintenance and cleaning needs.

Eligibility 

Eligible Southeast Technical College students must be enrolled in a program of study, making satisfactory academic progress and registered in at least one course throughout the duration of their Housing contract.

If a student becomes ineligible for any reason, the student will have the option to pay the contract breakage fee or the student may remain in Housing through the term of their contract but, will be subject to all Housing policies and regulations as an enrolled student.

Students who complete the Southeast Tech Housing Application must disclose if they are or have ever been required to register as a sex offender pursuant to law. No person who is required by law to register as a sex offender may reside in Southeast Tech Housing. Students must also disclose criminal history that includes conviction, guilty plea, no contest plea or suspended imposition of sentence involving a felony offense. 

Southeast Tech does not provide family housing nor does it require students to live on campus.
